Love Is Love?

Yesterday during my missionary work in the French Quarter of New Orleans I've noticed one poster saying "Love is Love". It seems very logical. And I don't mean to hurt the feelings of the people of New Orleans, because truly they are the nicest people ever. But then you see the small picture under that sign: two ladies are holding hands of each other, and so you start to get the real meaning of that MESSAGE.

It says, love is a good feeling which you have in relations with your partner. BUT then the words from the last Sunday service's sermon came to my mind. Pastor said, "Love is not just a feeling. Love is the choice. Life is the number of choices to love or not".
So, firstly, when we are ready to love person we are ready to give to him or her, to serve him or her, even when we do not have good feelings towards this person.
Secondly, Bible clearly proclaims in Gen. 1:27: "So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them" (New International Version). That means that we can fully resemble God only through a perfect union of man and a woman.
So hopefully these kind of signs won't shake true understanding of truth and will make us feel sorry for those people who have opposite life philosophy.
Max.
